oh boy(s). Lars von Trier’s latest collaboration with Charlotte Gainsbourg is shaping up to be one of the year’s true event films (in my circle, at least). what sort of horrors will he inflict on his actresses this time, and how grossly will they be misinterpreted by the laziest of pundits? i can’t wait. here’s hoping that his lifetime ban from Cannes is rescinded, and “Nymphomaniac” enjoys a proper unveiling.
